The Challenge

Flake Design Coatings is a Fort Wayne–based contractor specializing in polished concrete, epoxy systems, and 1-day polyurea/polyaspartic floors for warehouses, healthcare facilities, food production plants, garages, and residential projects across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Their work — polished slabs, metallic epoxy floors, occupied-facility installs — is genuinely high-end, but their digital presence wasn't telling that story.

General contractors, facility managers, and homeowners researching floor coatings had no way to evaluate the quality of past work, understand the difference between systems, or quickly get a project on the calendar. The site needed to do three things at once: prove craftsmanship, educate a mixed commercial-and-residential audience, and make it easy to request a quote.

Our Approach

We built a focused contractor marketing site organized around three surface systems — Polished Floors, Epoxy Coatings, and 1-Day Flooring — with a clean editorial layout that puts the work itself front and center. The visual language is deliberately understated: a lot of black, sharp typography, and large project photography that lets the floors do the talking.

From a structural standpoint, we modeled the site around the questions general contractors and owners actually ask — how they handle occupied facilities, how they match existing floors, whether they self-perform — and built dedicated content blocks for each. A project portfolio with individual case pages (Wingin' It Fort Wayne, Woodburn Lutheran School, custom garages) gives prospects real reference work to evaluate before reaching out. The Request a Quote flow promises a preliminary budget within 48 hours, turning a vague "contact us" form into a concrete commitment.
